Ahh! Summer time and the living is easy… Please join Llyn & Rod at Rundlewood for an A-Z primer of white wines made from rare, unusual and obscure grape varieties from around the world. We will start our alphabetical journey with an Ansonica from SW Tuscany with suggestions of flowers, white peaches, smoke, mineral and mint and finish the afternoon with a passito-style dessert wine, made from Zibibo grapes from the island of Pantelleria which has the rich flavours of dried apricots with notes of truffled honey, white rose petals, and reduced figs. Some of the other wines to taste include Torrontes from Argentina, Verdejo from Rueda in Spain, Gros Manseng from France, Greco Bianco from Calabria , a sparkler made with Mauzac from the Languedoc and Arneis from Piemonte.

The range of flavours from these relatively unknown grape varieties is fascinating and we will provide a matching nibble of food with each wine selection to show their versatility.

We look forward to seeing you in August, space is limited so sign up soon.
